Overview

There are several keyboard shortcuts built into the WHM interface. These shortcuts allow for quicker navigation of the interface.

Keyboard shortcuts

UpThis keystroke navigates up the interface.
DownThis keystroke navigates down the interface.
Left
  • For left to right languages: This keystroke collapses the highlighted category.
  • For right to left languages: This keystroke expands the highlighted category.
Right
  • For left to right languages: This keystroke expands the highlighted category.
  • For right to left languages: This keystroke collapses the highlighted category.
EnterThis keystroke opens an item.
Shift + TabThis keystroke navigates up of the all the controls, categories, and items in the menu.
TabThis keystroke navigates down of the all the controls, categories, and items in the menu.
Home

This keystroke moves the selection to the first category in the menu.

Note:

Use Fn + Left arrow in Mac OS.
End

This keystroke moves the selection to the last category or item in the menu.

Note:

Use Fn + Right arrow in Mac OS.

Shift + 8 (Asterisk)This keystroke toggles between Expand all and Collapse all.
EscThis keystroke clears the search box.
Ctrl + /

This keystroke places the cursor in the search box.

Note:

Use Command + / in Mac OS.

Alt + F2This keystroke opens the Support Menu tab.

How to setup browser shortcuts in Mac OS

Note:

Firefox or Safari® browser users on the Mac OS may need to activate the use of the Tab key to properly navigate the left menu.

To activate use of the Tab key in Firefox, perform the following steps:

  1. Open System Preferences in your Mac OS system.
  2. Click Keyboard.
  3. Select Keyboard Shortcuts.
  4. Select All controls under the Full Keyboard Access section.

To activate use of the Tab key in Safari, perform the following steps:

  1. Open Safari.
  2. In the menu bar, click on Safari and then select Preferences from the menu.
  3. Select Advanced from the Preferences window.
  4. Click the checkbox next to Press Tab to highlight each item on a webpage.
