(Home >> Email >> Email Accounts)

Webmail allows you to access your email accounts through any web browser. You may wish to use this feature if you need to check your email but cannot currently access your own computer. Log in from anywhere to read your email and respond quickly through the Webmail feature.

Access Webmail through the cPanel interface

To access cPanel's Webmail feature, perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to cPanel's Email Accounts interface (Home >> Email >> Email Accounts).
  2. In the More menu next to the email account name, click Access Webmail.

The Webmail interface will open in your browser, where you can check all of your account's read and unread emails.

You can also navigate to https://example.com:2096/ to access Webmail directly.

Access Webmail from a local email client

To configure an email client such as Apple® Mail or Microsoft® Outlook, click the Configure Mail Client in the User Settings menu in the top navigation for more detailed instructions.

Set a default Webmail application

The first time that you log in to Webmail, the interface will display three webmail applications: SquirrelMail, Horde, and Roundcube. For more information to help you choose a Webmail application, read our Which Webmail Application Should I Choose documentation.

  • Click Set as Default to automatically open Webmail in the selected application each time that you log in.
  • To change the default Webmail application, open the menu in the top navigation and click the star icon () that corresponds to the desired Webmail application to set as your default.

You can use this menu to set any of listed interfaces as the default interface when you log in to Webmail. For example, if you click the star icon that corresponds to the Track Delivery option in the menu, Webmail will automatically open in the Track Delivery interface.
