Overview

You can import an existing SSH key set for use on your server.

How to import an existing SSH key

If you use a custom key name, after it is imported you must manually specify the SSH key. The command to manually specify the SSH key is ssh -i /root/.ssh/key_name.

To import an existing SSH key, perform the following steps:

  1. Click Import Key.
    • If you wish to use a custom key name, enter the name in the Choose a name for this key (defaults to id_dsa) text box.
    • If you wish to import a PPK file, enter the password in the Private key passphrase (Needed for PPK import only) text box.
  2. Paste the public and private keys into the appropriate text boxes.
  3. Click Import.
